These tabletop rock mats by Happy Pebble Rock Mats are PERFECT for dining alfresco!

The Spirit of Artist Karen Anema

To meet artist Karen Anema, is to feel the power and emotion that emits from her as explains each of her pieces and what inspired her to create them.

"Peace Mask"
and
"If I Were a Raven"
have just arrived and are now gracing the walls of the Market.

Both are original acrylic on canvas.

Do you still have your mum or grandma's the jar of buttons?

Many people tell us about their wonderful childhood memories sitting cross legged on the floor looking at the buttons for hours on end. While you and I are reminiscing (about the buttons and sitting cross legged) the folks from Mile Zero are busy making button bracelets out of them.
What? You haven't tried wearing one of these little gems? They are SERIOUSLY fun and surprisingly work with just about any occasion!

Brian is one of the bright lights of Bowser. He is always looking out for others, always thinking of what others need. Today, we celebrate Brian, and all that he does for this little community on the shores of the Salish Sea.

Congratulations and Happy 10th Anniversary to Lighthouse Feed and Garden and to Bowser's own Mr. Brian Boyes, a.k.a the "Prince of Bowsaire!"

Love from, The Salish Sea Sisters
Joanne, Lauri, Sharon and Simone

Spring on the shores of the Salish Sea!!

This week we had the privilege of being flies on the wall while artists Cindy Mawle and Kevin Johnson exchanged experiences of what happens during the creative process from beginning to finishing (or not) their respective works of art.

Their conversation sounded a lot like this. :)
